Dinosaur Birthday #2

This time, we gathered at Jamma's and Pop's for a birthday celebration! And this time, when we asked Nolan what kind of party he wanted, he said, "A yellow dinosaur one!"

And, it's exactly what he got, again...This time, Aunt Val beat me in the cake challenge...showoff. :)

Before everyone arrived, we laid Nolan down for a nap. Once everyone arrived, we went to wake him up, and as soon as I said, "Do you want to have your party?", he popped out of bed!

He walked into the living/dining room area and went straight to his pile of presents on the table :)

He kept asking, "I open my presents?"

And, of course, we said yes!

I don't know what I was thinking buying this, but we got him a guitar...

Cool tractor from Jamma and Pop...
Playdough and puzzles from Aunt Val and Nick...

Spiderman shoes!!!

Books and puzzle from Sissy and Jeff...

Shirts from Jamma and Pop...

...and boots!!! :)
SO CUTE!!! He was like a newborn giraffe trying to walk in them :)

We finally had cake and ice cream, then we headed to the Rangers game, which is going to be a birthday tradition!

Ranger Game 2011

What a Beautiful Ballpark! (These are my favorite part!)
We have decided to start a tradition where we will take Nolan to a Ranger game on, or around, his birthday, so this was birthday #3 :)

And this year, Nana, Papa, Lexi, and Lauryn decided to join us!

I don't know if you noticed the yawn in the other picture, but this was the result...

I would say Great 3rd Birthday present!

Dinosaur Birthday #1

Nolan and I went home to Levelland for a week in August, and we decided to celebrate his 3rd birthday early with our family and friends there!

For about 3 months before his party, we would ask him what kind of party he wanted, and he consistently exclaimed, "A pink dinosaur one!" I said ok, and dad said "?" :)

But, guess who got what he wanted...

And obviously, one pink dino wasn't enough!

We also had a pool party with all the cousins. (Here he is with Lexi)

This was his idea of swimming (and safety!); he collected all the rings, then he would throw them for his cousins to dive and retrieve...over and over :)

While the kids swam, Papa made some burgers and hot dogs...

Time to eat, and of course, Nolan went straight for the cheetos...

We opened all the gifts (I didn't include all the pictures)...

Loves his Red Raiders hat!

He got really excited about socks...

Had to take the sticker off a shirt...

He got it!!!

Finally, Pinata time! This was his first pinata, and it was fun :)

Watch out!

Lo waiting her turn; she was ready to use those softball skills...

Lexi had to have a turn, even though the head is already about to fall off!

The pinata was completely mutilated, candy spread and shared, and guests on their way...it was a Great evening for our little man :) We couldn't ask for more!

Tatanka :)

Oh, my silly boys!

Our Summer

Wow, so summer has just about come and gone (except for the heat!), and I haven't blogged about our lives in a very long time...did you miss me? Well, if you have, you haven't missed much! We really haven't had an exciting summer, just a ball game over Memorial Day weekend, some splashing in the kiddie pool, and a 4th of July parade at daycare :) Not much at all!

However, instead of me trying to catch up with different blogs, you are getting a compilation!

We will start with our trip to see the Round Rock Express, which is the Rangers minor league team, which is the Rangers to Nolan! :D

Here he is with dad by a cow that he thought was really cool!

Here's my first attempt at a picture with him (his mouth is red from cherry snowcone!)...

And, here is the one where he attempted to cooperate more...I mean, at least I got a smile!

7th inning stretch with the Express Bulldog and a giant tooth...go figure!

We left right after this cause it got to loud for the little man, and he was NOT enjoyng it!!!

Now, onto our water fun...in our front yard :I

We had to get another pool this summer cause he's just too big for the one we had! He absolutely LOVES the water, and getting in and out of it!

Splashing...

Playing with his cars...

His favorite part of swimming...the redneck slide...

I mean really, look at that smile!

Who needs to go to a water park, when their kid is completely happy with his own slide in a kiddie pool??? Let's see how many more years we can keep this up ; )

We have now made it to the 4th of July! Nolan's school held a parade, where the kids from Nolan's age and up marched around the church waving flags, crafts they made, and playing instruments along to some music! Very cute for his age group...they did exactly what their teacher told them to, exactly when she said to!

Can you spot our little guy? He's the one in the hat...he doesn't leave home without one!

Marching with the boys...

Waving his plate cause Ms Becky said to! : )

And, there they go...end of the parade for my little guy.

Here is a little clip of him marching. I tried to stay in the back, but he spotted me!

Like I said, it's been very low key so far. Next week he will be with his Jamma and Pop, and then the following week, he and I will be in Lubbock to visit family and celebrate his birthday early...can't wait! Once we get back home, we will then go to visit his new school, and he will start the following week...I'll need prayers! I love the new school, and I am just praying that he will love it as much as I do.

See you in the Fall! : )
