Just a Boy and His Balloon
And, his new straw cup...

And, his favorite night time book...

That we can't quite figure out how to turn the paper pages to.

Anyway, this is what we were doing before daddy came home, with not just one, but TWO balloons! He knows how to make our kid's day! Seriously, it was as if Nolan won the baby lottery : )
That's a smile under that funky face.

I then decided to capture the awe that comes from my child as he plays with what he considers to be the best "ball" in the world...

It went on for hours, but how many times can you sit and watch him toss it up and continue to stare up at the ceiling as the balloon has already dropped back down!?! It's cute, and I love how he is trying to figure that out, but you can only record so much! : )

A Laundry Basket
Is Nolan's new best friend.
He tosses some toys in and then crawls in...

Smiles and plays like it's the best thing he's EVER had to play with...

Then he lounges, as if it's a garden tub; just give the kid some bubbly! (Look at his toes!)

Then, it's time to get out one of two ways: 1...

Or, 2...

Either way, we end up on our bottoms!
I can honestly say that I am contemplating never buying another toy again, but putting all the "toy" money in savings!!! Cause let's be honest, if we can be entertained by a laundry basket, I might as well start a college fund!

Bedtime, I Don't Think So...
It was another night in the Wright household, Daddy was washing the little one's sippy cup, while Mommy was reading him a book...after he combed his own hair!!!
How cute is that???

Anyway, once I notified that little one that it was time for bed, he gave me an adorable blank stare and said,...

"I don't think so! DAD!!!"

And so the fun began (can't you tell?).

(Well, this pic isn't so fun...Daddy wouldn't push him)

Now Daddy decided he would play along, so YAY!

Here, Daddy pushed a little too hard...they wiped-out!

"Hey mom, do you see Mancy anywhere?" The poor dog was hiding cause Nolan had already been chasing him with the wagon before all this craziness started!

So, that's how we do it in the Wright home. Nothing like a little down time before bed!
Goodnight all!

Christmas Day 2009
*disclaimer: he woke up with wet pj bottoms, so that's why he looks like a big ol' dork
Oh, Christmas morning...
Nolan decided that Christmas morning should start as early as possible...he woke up at 3:45am! Rise. And. Shine. :
I finally got him to go back to sleep around 5:45, which is also around the time that the rest of the family decided to get up and wait for Pop to come back home before we checked out what Santa brought us!
Nolan woke up right before Pop arrived, and after greeting everyone with a "where am I?" smile, he noticed his loot under the tree...

And, of course, the first thing he went to was the red ball!

He then decided to check out what else was down there for him (it was amazing how he knew which pile was his!)...

What is it?

A Moooo flashlight!

Momma, look at this, a Handy Manny coloring book!

Hey, what's that?

A new puppy!!! Awwww...

Time to go open presents.

Santa brought him a "big-head" Mickey,

A pull-along puppy,

And an awesome, happy pirate sweater,

He got lots more stuff, but I couldn't get pics of everything!
After opening gifts, he took a moment with his daddy...

Until he noticed something...

A new truck book!

He then decided that it was time for him to try out all his new toys...

He waited fairly patiently for daddy to take things out of their boxes...

He took his puppy for a walk...

Tried on the cutest blanket from his great-granny and grandpa Mac! He wasn't too sure about it though.

So, daddy had to show him how it's done!

Then it was time to clean up!

"Hey, Jamma, what about these? Is it time to take them down? I'll gladly help!"

After we cleaned up, and finally got dressed, we decided to head over to Granny and Papaw's; but not before exploring in what little snow was left to explore!

Daddy made a small snowball for him to feel...

And, then he was done! Time to go!!!

I hope you all had a blessed and happy Christmas like we did and that those blessings continue in your New Year!
We'll see you in 2010...
