So, what did Santa leave us for Christmas? Nolan got more toys! Imagine that. He got a t-ball set, zoo animals, a stuffed hippo and the Curious George book to go along with it, Wall-E, and a my 1st Christmas bear (I didn't take any pics). Brady and I got checks from Santa, a very appreciated gift! Once everyone checked their stocking, it was time to get ready cause the rest of the family was coming over for lunch.
After V and I got ready, we attempted to make sweet potato balls...didn't work, we had to just make a casserole type dish-oh well, everyone said it was good. We had a great traditional lunch of turkey, dressing, and ham (blah.) and the rest of that good stuff. Then, of course, desserts...the best part! I had some pie and then I noticed that no one had touched the chocolate cake, so I had to get into to it as well! I just had to. Needless to say, I was stuffed and shouldn't have eaten the rest of the day!
After Nolan's nap, he, Brady and I ventured to O'Donnell to visit the McDaniels (Mother-in-law's side of the family). It was good to see everyone and have another great meal, as well as excellent entertainment from the cousins! I apologize to them though for having to listen to Brady sing...sorry guys! On a better note (ha-ha!) we walked away with some good gifts : ) It was definitely time to go after the gift exchange though, somebody was not in the best mood and very tired!
We got home, put an exhausted boy to bed and crashed out myself. We had a big day to come on Friday...Nolan's first hair cut! I'll report on that later; have a good day!
