Nolan attended his first Fall Festival yesterday at daycare, while I made my first of many, cake walk cakes...
I got to daycare around 4:45pm yesterday, took the cake to the office, so that they could take it ove to the activity center while I went to get "The King" ready. We drove across the street to teh activity center parking lot, and I started getting him ready in the car. He wasn't too sure about this, but he cooperated as long as he had his cup.
Once I got him dressed, minus the ascot, we went on in cause he was getting antsy in the car...daddy would just have to find us inside. At this point, Nolan really didn't care about where we were, or who told him that he looked cute (we got TONS of compliments)...all he wanted was his cup! I finally got him into the main part of the activity center, and he then decided to ditch the cup and walk around to see, just exactly, what was going on. After he checked out a couple of the centers (he didn't participate in them, he just checked them out), he noticed the bounce houses. One of the volunteers pointed out to me that there was a smaller bounce house for the babies, but Nolan had his eyes on the big ones! He didn't throw a fit or anything, but he was intrigued. I finally got him over to the baby bounce house, tried to put him in, and he wouldn't budge. He just stood there. So I decided to get him involved in something else and at that time, daddy arrived. He went straight to Brady, and of course, let him put him in the bounce house. He seemed to like it, or I like to think he did, cause he sat down and started bouncing! But it didn't last too long.
We then decided that he needed to eat something, so we took him over to where they were serving hot dogs, which is one of his favorite meals. I went to buy the hot dog, while Nolan sat with Brady and drank his cup (imagine that). When he saw me coming back towards them with a plate, his face lit up, and when he saw it was a hot dog, it lit up more! The kid ate it up.
When we went back to the activity room, we were going to have a go at the cake walk before we left, but were surprised to see that the crowd had doubled and the cake walk room was a mad house! So, we opted for a better idea, a cute picture with Mr. Scarecrow...
After that, Elvis started getting a little clingy and fussy, so that could only mean one thing...he had had enough. We decided to hit the road, but not before he struck an infamous pose.

What a cute costume and I love that we can keep up with nolan through this blog. It would take forever for Brady to get us the pictures. Give Nolan a hug for us!!
I'm glad he had fun. Your cake was super cute!
I bet he was the best dressed at the party. He is so adorable and such a sweet young man. Thank you for keeping this blog as it brightens our day when we get to see pictures of Nolan.
